growing and identifying red wine grapes?

I am growing red wine grapes from seed I was just wondering how long it would take for them to spout. I don't know what kind nor do I know how to tell. They used to grow at my grate grandparents farm in a very lager field but were recently taken out do to not producing much anymore. Ether way the point is they grew in Ohio in direct light very well for about 60 years. So any help on identifying and growing would be great.

I really don't know how successful you will be growing them from seed. Nearly all vineyards use grafted varieties. A strong root stock with the fruiting variety grafted on. You will be trying to grow the seeds of the fruit but will not have the benefits provided by the rootstock. The rootstock will be much more disease resistant that your seedlings.
A more assured way of some success would have been to collect some cuttings of the original vines, these could have been grafted onto commercially available rootstock. I realise this doesn't help you now:)
If you want to grow the seed get a quality seed raising mix and place them on the surface, keep moist and warm and they should germinate in a few weeks. If they survive a couple of years you might be able to graft them then.
